#54: List-a-Mania II: Electric Boogaloo
A bunch of stuff to catch up on while you're quarantined!
In light of recent events and a lot of positive responses for the last List-a-Mania, I’m instituting a emergency publishing schedule. Office Hours will be shifting to a daily e-mail Monday - Fridays packed to the gills with cool/interesting/non-coronavirus stuff that you may have missed. Welcome to List-a-Mania.
NEW PROJECT: Gameday Grails
Last March, I started an @gamedaygrails. @gamedaygrails is a IG account that posts incredibly rare/cool vintage NCAA/NBA/NFL/NHL/golf gear that I've found across the internet over the years. Since launching it, it’s grown from a moldboard of classic sports images to a retail concept (you will be able to actually but the clothes through IG).
The first collection is themed to March Madness. Obviously, the NCAA tournaments were canceled, but we’re still going live tomorrow because I’m assuming people miss college basketball as much as I do and honestly, I need the money!
Here’s a taste of what you can expect from our first collection.
When you’re done reading this, go check it out!

A few things for the Chicago- based subscribers:
Dining at a Distance is an aggregator that helps you find what restaurants in the Chicago area are open for take-out, curbside pick-up, or delivery during the lockdown of Chicago’s restaurants and bars during COVID-19.
Stock Mfg Co. put together a collection of gear, including a sick collab with Cody Hudson. 100% of the proceeds go towards helping the staffs of 10+ restaurants and bars, including some of my favorite spots in the city.
CULTURE THINGS:
How a graphic designer from England set the course for contemporary visual culture.
Publishers - I can tell you the three words that will ensure I will always click: Rachel. Kaadzi. Ghansah. Her pieces on Dave Chappelle and Electric Lady Studios are worth your time.
Reggie Ugwu hasn’t missed in a bit; his most recent on Francis & The Lights was enlightening and flew by!
In my opinion, this is of the most essential Q&A’s in American history: Alex Haley chatting with Malcolm X from 1963 .
MUSIC THINGS:
MARKETING THINGS:
This piece called “The Future of Advertising” was written in 2010, it’s nuts how accurate it turned out to be.
From 2001: The history of Powerpoint.
